Hikers rejoice, as Griffith Park is now hosting a beer garden every Saturday through October for thirsty adventurers just like you. Held on the patio belonging to the existing Roosevelt Cafe, the Griffith Park Beer Garden offers beer tasting flights and sausages (with all the accoutrements) for a flat rate of $20 in addition to the restaurant’s regular menu. Joining the party from 4 PM to 8 PM is a live DJ set, so whether you find yourself post-hike or pre-show at the Greek Theatre, your visit to one of the most beautiful places in the city just got a lot more interesting.

Why spend a Saturday at Griffith Park?
Put simply, Griffith Park is an ideal outdoor recreational destination. Situated in the eastern Santa Monica Mountain range less than 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, the park offers a 53-miles network of trails, fire roads, and bridle paths to explore. That should work up quite a sweat by the time you descend into beer land.
If you’re chasing a rewarding view, take the trail leading from the Observatory parking lot to the summit of Mount Hollywood—the highest peak of the park—which affords spectacular views of the entire Los Angeles Basin.
Friendly reminder: all trails close as dusk.
