The estate at Rustic Lane has inspired media outlets from Dwell to the LA Times.
Now Viva Magazine, Canada’s top magazine for natural health, has chosen the estate as the ideal backdrop for their cover story featuring Jaime King. The estate was chosen for its privacy and natural beauty, matched by the beauty of the cover subject. The classic lines of the 1956 mid-century modern home, by architects Buff, Straub & Hensman were the perfect backdrop for glamorous fashion shot that graces the cover.
In the magazine the actress shares her struggle with infertility and endometriosis and poses with her adorable young family on the soft grass of this nearly two-acre estate. King went through nearly five years of fertility treatments, only to end up conceiving naturally. She balances a busy life with two young kids, a husband, a career and her own maternity fashion line, which is available at A Pea In The Pod high-end maternity boutiques. She also enjoys the hilly neighborhoods of Los Angeles for walking and hiking. King eats as much farm-to-table and whole foods as possible.
Positivity also plays a strong role in King’s life. As she says in the magazine, “My goal and mantra in life is to always know that despite the negativity in the world, people are not all haters. We are not Neanderthals anymore. We need to change society and the people hurting on the inside. I don’t want my children growing up in a world without love.”
