Agua Dulce Winery Estate is a sprawling 90-acre property located just over an hour outside of Los Angeles.
Operating under the watchful guidance of businessman Barry Goldfarb and family, Agua Dulce Winery has set out to bring the art of winemaking back to Southern California.
The Goldfarb family’s enduring relationship with winemaking originated in the backyard of their Bel Air estate. Wanting to explore a skill that the whole family could be a part of, the Goldfarbs carved out a wine cellar into the hillside of their property to complement 2 acres of grapes that they had planted.
What followed was the most organic and satisfying experience that the Goldfarb’s had known. Along with his wife and two children, Barry set out to discover an opportunity where he could be involved in every stage of the winemaking process, share the fruits of his labor with others on a larger scale, and not be too far removed from his home in Bel Air.
Goldfarb gives a presentation of Agua Dulce Winery’s new “cups included” design at a recent Partners Trust Open House Social.
As a seasoned entrepreneur, Barry quickly discovered the beauty, sense of community, and quality of wines that distinguished Agua Dulce Winery. With all the amenities available to him, including a Colonial-style vineyard estate home and tasting room, Barry had an abundance of places to entertain friends and family who came to visit.
Owning a winery has changed not only his life but that of his family who, from giving tours to hosting holiday events, are involved in all aspects of the business. To be able to grow grapes and share that journey with so many others has brought the family great fortune with the people they met. From the land to the vines to the finished bottle, being involved in each stage of the organic process is what invigorates Barry to be in the wine business.
