On February 6, Partners Trust’s Openhouse gave a warm welcome to its third retail installation, Ariel Fox Design, a curated collection of artisan furniture and custom designs. On February 15, Ariel Johnson of Ariel Fox Design will host a Love Party, “For the Love of The Craft,” from 6 – 10pm, bringing Partners Trust Associates, neighbors, and friends together to celebrate.
Ariel Fox Design’s “Love Party” will showcase the best of LA’s high-end furniture making and trade showrooms. Indulge in a mixology cocktail, organic love bites, and a tarot card reading for your 2017 love forecast amidst some of the most prolific works of LA artisans. Bring your loved ones and immerse yourselves in an aura of impeccable craftsmanship and passion.
Guests will also have the opportunity to view Stephen Kenn’s new Bowline furniture collection. Located in Santa Monica on Ocean Park Blvd, Openhouse is quite literally the perfect locale to behold Kenn’s pieces influenced by the ocean and sailing culture. While visiting Japan, Stephen Kenn felt creatively inspired by the sport and the materials it required, which he has uniquely adapted into furniture. The pieces in his Bowline collection are overlaid with stone washed sailcloth, canvas, and supported by elasticized shock cords. Each work, available for sale on site, is an immaculate complement to the LA seaside culture.
Ariel equates the role of a curator to that of a novelist: “I approach projects like one would craft a novel. Every space has a story.” To Partners Trust’s benefit, Ariel has, undoubtedly, filled the space of Openhouse with a memorable narrative. Be sure to share this story with us on February 15.
