Autumn Comes to Pacific Palisades: Visit the Palisades-Malibu YMCA’s Pumpkin Patch

Autumn is upon us and that means – to the kids in your family – Halloween, candy and pumpkins. Start the season off by visiting the Palisades-Malibu YMCA’s Pumpkin Patch!

On Saturday, October 8, the Palisades-Malibu YMCA will open its Pumpkin Patch doors, located at Simon Meadow on the corner of Temescal and Sunset.

Days and times are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday | 2:30 to 6:00 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday | 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Pumpkin Patch closes on Monday, October 31st.

Don’t have a palette for pumpkins? Not to worry. The Pumpkin Patch offers a great way to interact with your kids for an after-school or weekend activity. Check out 101 different things you can do with a pumpkin for creative ways to make use of your newly acquired orange ball of fun!

Have some spare time? The Palisades-Malibu YMCA is also in need of volunteers throughout the week to help customers pick out and carry their pumpkins to their cars. This would also be great activity with your kids that demonstrates the spirit of volunteerism, which is timely as Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

How are you getting to the Halloween spirit?  Do you carve pumpkins every year?  What are your favorite Halloween activities? Please share your ideas and leave your comments below.
