“A man should always be as good as his word”.  My grandfather gave me that piece of advice when I was a young boy and that’s a lesson I’ve kept close to my heart throughout my life.   Honesty, integrity, and compassion are values I strive to perfect each and every day in pursuit of “the good life” at home, work, in my relationships with my beautiful wife Sarah, family, friends, clients and associates.

As a young man growing up in rural Tennessee, I started my first job at the age of 12 working on the neighbor’s farm.  From herding the cows, to clearing the rocks from the hay fields, to lifting and stacking the bales of hay in the barn when the time came to harvest, all of the duties of my first job were united by one thing.   It was all very hard work for a 12 year old boy who was a little on the small side.  I stuck with it though and refused to give up.   It eventually got easier.   Of the many lessons I learned from that first work experience the most life changing was learning how to work hard. 

It is a lesson that has served me well over the years.  My dedication to hard work led me through earning a degree in Film from UCF, into the freelance TV and Film industry in Orlando FL, and all the way out to LA where I worked as a Production Coordinator for TV in the very competitive LA entertainment market.  While working as a Coordinator, I developed a high level of professionalism in my dealings with talent, and honed and perfected my negotiating skills through my interactions with the local vendors, but after some years in the Entertainment industry I began to realize it wasn’t taking me in the direction I wanted to go.   I wanted a path that would better fit the family life that my wife Sarah and I were looking to build.  We wanted a career that would encourage lasting friendships in the community, give me flexibility of schedule not only to start a family but to be able to spend quality time together, would provide the kind of income we had grown accustomed to, and most importantly I wanted it to be something that made people’s lives better.

We deliberated for a long time about what this new direction would be.  As we checked off everything were looking for on the list one by one, it became more and more clear where my gut was taking me - real estate was the answer.  As real estate became the new focus, everything began to fall into place.  Real estate runs in my family.  My grandfather was a very successful real estate agent and I had always looked to his example and considered that someday I might try my hand at real estate as well.  The timing was finally right to make the shift. 

I began an exhaustive research and interview process with the local brokerages looking for the right fit.  I was searching for a brokerage that shared my values of honesty, integrity, compassion, and hard work.  I was looking for something very specific.  I wanted to hang my hat at a brokerage that understands that exceeding expectations isn’t an option, but a requirement.   In the course of my search, I discovered Pacific Union.   In Pacific Union I found a brokerage that shared my values.  I found a brokerage that is as dedicated to exceeding expectations as I am.  I am constantly surprised by Pacific Union’s commitment to its clients, associates, and community.  I am very fortunate to be working for a company whose core values I truly and deeply respect and to have the opportunity and encouragement to share those values with my clients, fellow associates, and community.

Bought a Condo home in 2016 in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA.

As a first time homebuyer, I was very worried about asking stupid questions or just not knowing what questions to ask.
