When I was five, I knew that I wanted to be an architect. There was a brief departure from that at age 10, when I considered becoming a model, but those height projections when you are two turned out to be widely unrealistic. In the end, when I capped out at 5'3", it was back to architecture. So I earned my bachelors degree in Architecture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduating, I moved to Paris to work in a design firm (and also to frequent museums, sit in parks, window shop and eat as many good meals as my small salary allowed).
Since I am a native San Diegan, I didn't stray too far from home. When I returned to "real life," I settled in Los Angeles, where I have enjoyed working in a variety of creative companies. Early on, I worked for local design firms, then took a break to start and run a letterpress stationery company for several years. Eventually, my love of innovation, design, architecture and technology pulled me back in and I was most recently the Director of Development at Proto Homes, a newly formed modern home company.
I am thrilled to be part of the team here at Partners Trust, where there are so many creative and thoughtful people. On any given day, you may find me working on marketing campaigns or brainstorming with team members on upcoming projects.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my husband and our 5 year old son- fixing up our 100-yr old bungalow and attempting to garden (it's harder than it looks, people). I also love trying new things (ceramics, painting- also harder than you'd think) and spending time with family and friends.
