Since its opening last year, the Partners Trust community outpost and retail concept Openhouse has been the talk of the town. Starting February 6, Openhouse welcomes its third retail installation, Ariel Fox Design.
Located in Santa Monica on Ocean Park Blvd., Openhouse offers a unique model, a store which invites designers to curate experience-based home installations with all items for sale. Ariel Fox Design will be the store’s third curator following Hermosa Design and Mar Vista-based shop The Hängar.
Ariel Johnson is the president of Ariel Fox Design Inc. and has lead her team to be one of the leading full-service interior design studios in Southern California. For Ariel, who owns her own custom furniture business and has worked primarily in interior design for commercial real estate, this will be her first-ever brick-and-mortar shop.
For her turn at Openhouse, Ariel was inspired by the story of “For the Love of the Craft.” Showcasing artisans with a passion and a story, the collection will be a unique capsule of AFD’s favorite furniture makers as well as her own custom pieces. Most notably, Stephen Kenn of SK studios, is debuting a new line of furniture inspired by boating adventures at sea.
Ariel is looking forward to the opening, slated for February 6, and plans to throw a launch party within the space.
