Here are three recent charitable events and the commendable associates involved, in case you missed it.
Celebrity Charity Tennis Tournament – Beverly Hills
Scores of spectators and volunteers, including Partners Trust Associate Deborah Medway, came out to raise money for the Beverly Hills Police Foundation on September 18 at a Celebrity Charity Tennis Tournament. Held at La Cienega Tennis Center, the event was headlined by tennis stars Vincent Van Patten and James Blake and grossed over $100,000.
The Beverly Hills Police Foundation provides financial grants for all members of the police family in urgent need, including sworn officers, civilian professionals, their spouses and widowers or dependent children. It is a symbol of the community’s partnership with the people who protect and serve the city of Beverly Hills—to be there when a family member of BHPD is in crisis and help them through it.
Polo in the Park – Pacific Palisades
Partners Trust and Founding Partner Richard Stearns sponsored Polo in the Park, a benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, on October 1. Held at Will Rogers Historic State Park in Pacific Palisades, the event offered a picnic lunch and up-close viewing of several live Polo matches.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association fights to free individuals and their families from the harmful effects of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases so they can live longer and stronger lives.
Openhouse End of Summer Event – Santa Monica
Partners Trust associates and friends delighted in a family-friendly block-party-style event serving up appetizers, drinks, discounts and lots of fun at their new community outpost and retail concept, Openhouse on Ocean Park Blvd. Ten percent of sales from Openhouse go to the recipients of the Charitable Giving Fund that were selected for the second half of 2016.
The inspiration for Openhouse’s current installation and pop-up shop, by Hermosa Design, is beach contemporary and features Scandinavian design decor pieces, original art, euro bicycle and barware. Shop the installation through October 31, 2016. Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
