I learned to appreciate the importance of a place to call home by spending more nights in a hotel room than in my own bed. My former career in law took me all over the country for most of any given year. While getting on a plane every week was full of fun and adventure, I missed my own home.
Though I've taken the road less traveled to real estate, it’s one I needed to take to gain the skills necessary to become a well-rounded agent. During my law practice in litigation, I learned to think on my feet, solve problems when a solution was seemingly out of reach, the art of discretion, and the ability to masterfully negotiate. Each of these skills are crucial to getting the best result in any real estate transaction.
I was then recruited by a legal education company to travel to law schools around the country assisting in curricula development and the mentoring of law school graduates studying for the bar exam. Being an educator required extensive subject matter knowledge, patience, compassion, and around-the-clock support. It was extremely rewarding to guide a student through the bar exam—the most stressful and difficult exam of an attorney's professional career. And, it’s remarkably similar to the milestone of buying or selling a home—likely the largest financial transaction of one’s life.
I’m often asked why I stopped practicing law and working in education and, the truth is, I haven’t stopped either. Though I enjoyed both roles, real estate allows me to blend the skills required to practice law and teach into one fulfilling career in Los Angeles—instead of on a plane!
Each of my clients know that they will get a passionate, expert negotiator who will always fight for them, as well as a caring partner who will take the time to explain every step of the process. I would be honored to help you navigate the excitement, occasional stress, and ultimate success of buying or selling a home.
Bought a Condo home in 2017 for approximately $1.075M in West Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA.
Finding Diana was the most important part of our real estate purchase. From start to finish, we were overwhelmed with how professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and caring she was. From experience, we know that it’s hard to find a real estate agent that will provide personalized, dedicated service. We’ve dealt with others in the past that just set up an automated listing/search email blast and then disappeared. With Diana, that was not the case at all. She curated her search just for us and checked in with us every single day. As a buyer’s agent, she is truly skilled at delivering exactly what you are looking for. We could not be happier with our choice of having Diana represent us in making the biggest purchase we have ever made!
We were particularly impressed with Diana’s commitment to staying updated on all the latest inventory to hit the market. We made the search a bit tougher on her because we were initially looking for two completely different things (and would have been happy finding either). Diana listened to our wants carefully and she was dynamic by proactively adjusting her search criteria without needing supervision from us as we saw more properties together and changed our minds over time. That’s what we loved so much about her. Even though we said we wanted one thing, when we walked properties and told her what we liked and didn’t like, she was able to discern what our needs and true wants were. She then worked to find and present us with properties that better matched our criteria.
Another thing that we appreciated about having Diana represent us was her industry connection. For many of the listings that we found or expressed interest in (even off market properties), she knew the seller’s agent personally or had a relationship with someone that did. We think that helped us gain extra industry insight and information on circumstances that would inform our search a bit better. There really is something to be said about having an agent that has a good reputation and a strong network. When it came time to consider making offers on properties we liked, Diana helped us understand market comps and ran reports to help us get comfortable with our offer prices (particularly when we got to multiple counter stages and were being outbid). She struck the perfect balance of letting us make ultimate decisions on things like offer price and terms, while giving us her advice when we needed it.
In the end, Diana helped us purchase the most perfect condo that fits our needs and wants exactly! We could not be happier with our new home. Diana was skilled in helping us prepare a winning offer in a very competitive buyer pool, and guiding us through the entire escrow process while under pressure from our bank, our seller, and (occasionally) from us :). In the end, we had a smooth, timely closing and everything was communicated to us carefully and promptly throughout.
This is how buying a home should be for everyone. Thank you, Diana. We hope to send all of our friends and family your way!
Sold a Townhouse home in 2017 for approximately $900K in West Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA.
Diana went above and beyond our expectations in selling our condo in West Los Angeles. She was very responsive, organized, patient, and always on top every step of the selling process.
Preparing for sale: Diana created a timeline for us, including dates for handymen work, staging, photography, and marketing. There were no delays with any of these dates--everything was done professionally, with good quality, and on time.
Listing and showings: Diana helped us come up with a listing price that would help us get the most for our place. After the house was listed, she personally went to EVERY SHOWING to make sure the condo was presented in its best light every time. She also hosted open houses, which were very well attended.
Selecting an offer: Diana created a spreadsheet for us detailing every offer we received (18 offers!), and discussed the pros and cons of each offer with us. She also helped us strategize as to which offers to counter, and helped us sell the house at a price that exceeded what we thought we could get for it.
Communication and responsiveness: Diana kept us in the loop every step of the way, and was very responsive. Whenever we had a question for her, she would respond promptly. If she did not know the answer, she would tell us that and follow-up quickly after figuring it out.
Managing Expectations: Diana also managed our expectations very well. She gave us a good understanding of the market in our area, and gave us good estimates as to what we could get for our place. She also kept us calm when, on the morning of our offer deadline, we only had one offer in so far. She explained to us that more offers would come in at the 11th hour, and sure enough, that is what happened.
Service: In addition to the above, Diana also went above and beyond in helping us manage the sale. By the time we listed the house, we had already moved out of the area. Diana worked with third-party vendors (handymen, stagers, inspectors, escrow agents, etc.) to minimize the amount of work we had to do to get the house sold. Everything was done electronically, and the escrow process closed without a hitch.
In short, we would not hesitate to work with Diana again, whether it be selling or buying a property in Los Angeles.
Bought a Condo home in 2016 for approximately $675K in Northeast Torrance, Playa Del Rey, CA.
Diana is absolutely THE BEST. I very highly recommend her to anyone starting the process of buying a home. Not only is she incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and professional, but she really listened to our ideas about what we wanted in a home (which changed often!) and was able to talk us through different ideas until we really figured out what we were looking for. She made the housing search process FUN, and the escrow process EASY! So many people we spoke with complained about how stressful buying a house is, but that was not at all our experience thanks to Diana. I love that we found a new home, but we will miss working with Diana!!
Bought a Condo home in 2016 for approximately $500K in Culver City, CA.
I made an excellent choice when I asked Diana to help me buy a condo. She talked me through the entire process and helped me come to terms with what types of places I could get given my very specific budget and location constraints.
Diana is quick to respond and always available to answer questions. Working with Diana was like working with a friend. She was able to relate to my stress and anxiety while also keeping up my spirits when things didn't go my way.
She worked with me to find several places I liked and ultimately, we got an offer accepted.
Bought a Single Family home in 2016 for approximately $625K in Crenshaw, Los Angeles, CA.
Diana is amazing! I can't say enough good things about her. She's very knowledgeable and knows exactly what she's doing. As we were looking at different houses, she was very honest about what she thought, which really helped us and made us feel comfortable. And once we found the home we wanted, she helped us figure out the best offer to give so we could get the house, and we did! During the stressful escrow process, Diana was there every step of the way answering our questions, letting us know what needed to be done, giving us updates. She made sure all parties involved, i.e. lender, seller, escrow, inspections...etc., stayed on top of things in a timely manner. We never had to worry that things weren't getting done. I HIGHLY recommend Diana!
Bought a Condo home in 2015 in Pico-Robertson, Los Angeles, CA.
Diana's work was absolutely spectacular during the home buying process. The best words to describe her would be: professional, attentive, and thorough.
I was most impressed with her quick negotiation skills, as well as her ability to tailor herself to best fit the client needs. I'm all about processes and checklists, and she adapted to my style so that I could best understand the issues from my perspective (i.e. an absolute home-buying novice!).
On top of all this, Diana is highly personable and she makes it an absolute pleasure to go through the home buying process. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is looking to purchase a home, though I'd imagine she's probably great at selling homes too!
Bought a Multi Family home in 2015 in Wilshire/Montana, Santa Monica, CA.
I feel really lucky to have Diana handling my first purchase in my life. She is responsible, easy to communicate and really well organized. With her background in law, she helped me going through documents page by page, and explained details to me patiently. I would highly recommend her to my friends to purchase a home in the future!
Helped me rent a home in Del Rey, Los Angeles, CA 90292.
Diana worked quickly to set up a full day of showings while I was in town. She negotiated better terms for me, e.g. price and move-in date. Diana also took the extra step to add language to the contract that protects me.
We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in CA
Diana was incredible to work with!! I was both frustrated and confused at times and Diana always there to reassure me. Her expertise and knowledge was invaluable to me during the process. I can't say enough good things about her. I would highly recommend Diana to anyone looking for assistance.
