The Savvy Duo
Though we come from different places in the world (Monica, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Lorin, New York/ New Jersey) we feel like we’ve been living parallel lives since we both landed in Los Angeles in 1988. We have lived in many different pockets of our interesting and diverse city, and remarkably we circled in the same neighborhoods at the same times before we even met. In 1999 our successful, powerful real estate partnership was born. And, since saying Lorin Ruttenberg and Monica Garcia-Grilli is far too many syllables, we decided to call ourselves The Savvy Duo.
As a team, we provide our clientele with the highest level of
customer service, from two synergistic perspectives. Additionally, in
terms of negotiations, we intuitively strategize and brainstorm about
how to best position our clients. We believe the art of the deal is in
the communication strategy and frankly that’s what excites us
creatively. “ We sell it like it is” is our tagline and our approach to
business – true to the facts and no nonsense. We believe passionately
that it’ s all about the customer and what’ s best for them. To us,
success means being able to help a client define their goals and attain
their dreams.
The other piece that shapes who we are and informs our lives is
that we are each mothers of two children. As such, we are also extremely
well informed about the school systems throughout the city. We have
lived through the decision making process of where and when to send our
own children to school and we regularly help our clients negotiate this
process.
